Eric the carpenter

Eric was a carpenter that fixed things on the side-
His wife had him left earlier, he didn't know why.
The only thing he heard upon the morn of the divorce
Was a closet creaking and the neighing of a horse.

She hurried down the stairs with such a distance in her eyes
Eric dropped his tuning fork and asked "Are you alright?"
She passed him but a slip of paper, nothing written on
She sprinted down the street and in a moment, she was gone.

When he went upstairs to find out what was wrong
He foun a pair of yellow dentures clamped upon a thong
