Soft Squares

The love in her eye
Describes the moment
As she watches him
Humour a second
That is full square
Then blue.
She thinks it is
Well hidden how imbued
Deep within her this her
Softness is.

She knew his parlance
Too true...
His twisty gnarledness
Then grew herself
To violets and indigo's
Held on corners he
Offered to officer...
Thinking she was stronger
Than love.

She sank into a new
Shriven dance...
Became oblong
Then not quite so hard.
She knew her curves could not
Let him stroke her...
The colours could not care to dance
Could they?

I whisper in her ear
"Perchance"
As she dances
Ovoid to him.

He knows her.
