Maul

Oh yes I must go maundering
To leave you to your static world
Watch me as I am sauntering
Haphazardly away from you.

I cannot do your stationary-
I must wander as I wonder
What is true? This! This is not true...
When I am far enough away
I will look back at you and mouth
My true goodbye.

I will miss you for your certainty
And rejoice that you are free of me
You know my personality was ever
A thing to maul you.
When we look back for the last time
At both relieved from the other-
We will murmur just as well...
Just as well.
