Yesterday I went to the coffee house for a cup of coffee and the rest is what you can read....

A moment of love

Their eyes met and heart beat faster
Next moment they were stealing glances
They pretended they weren't looking at each other
Yet their eyes would flicker and meet again.

How old were they, maybe 16 or 17
I sat at the table by the window and watched
Each visible muscle getting tensed
Their skin growing hot and red.

The girl smiled silently when her friends chattered on
The guy nodded his head when his friends made a racket
And for me, my tall latte'
Felt warmer at the sight of their blush.

It's nice to read poetry that is so uplifiting. I find that reading your poetry in darkness lights up the room around me. Just brilliant.

Regards,
John.
