Mask

I hide behind the shadow
Yet the light still passes through
And pours a trickle of beauty
Of who I am to you

There's nothing to hide
But a lot to reveal
The pieces collect of me
And how it makes me real

In the shard of the moonlight
That did pierce this veil
That shown me your colors
Unveiled me my tail

This barrier that liberates
This sieve most surprised
That captures and manifests
The echoes most prized

This mirror before me
This hollow, this compact
Shalt open the curtains
To a most sacred act

John Ashleigh
Good structure. Good rhyming. In all, a peice of art. A real collective, yet deep, peice of literature. Keep writing!

Regards,
John.
