FUNY OLD THING IS LIFE AGEING DAY BY DAY

Funny old thing is life

Never know what it will
bring

Each day is different
bringing a difference
each day we are a little
bit different from the day
before

Our body's subtle different
from the day before
skin once as like elastic
take's a little longer springing back
each day

Hare a gray follicle blatantly showing
more appear each day

While having a bath more hair floating
when the plug is pulled it takes longer
fore the water to drain away
Has your hare blocks the plug hole

Add agency puts in an offer to rent your
bald patch

A visit to the barbers the cost now includes
a search fee

As time pass's bye each day
your chest moves closer to your waist
now you have to be careful you don't
fasten your belt over your nipples

Teeth loosen one by one visits to the dentist
You leave a tooth or three behind

At least you wake up to a smile
smiling back to you from a glass tumbler

Going too the loo become more s regular
zip up wash hands then that last drop has
to pass and you have to goo again

Life is a funny old thing as you get older
if you don't laugh you'd only cry!

All the young poets are going to read this and shudder. I read it and laughed, too true by half.

Let's not be pathetic. Let's go out with a BANG!

You certainly made me laugh Ken and I'm getting there, but am going to grow old disgracefully. Loved the line that gong to the barbers includes a search!

Some wonderful images, and unfortunately I am of an age to know that all are true. Still, as you say, we must keep a sense of humor about it . . . growing older is better than not.
