If you've watched Silent Hill, here is a poem about its main chatacter; Alessa Gillespie, and how she felt.

Alessa Gillespie's poem

My heart's getting it,
fireworks erupting in my chest,
Goosebumps covering me a little bit,
like expecting for an uncalled guest.

What is it like to feel fear every now and then?
What is it like to discover something bizzarre?
How does it feel to be alive but dead?
How does it feel to know someone in the dark?

My soul feels blackened every day,
every part of me feels like it's still burning,
but with fear and pain
in this sad excuse of a building.
Didn't you know that fear and pain can easily turn into hate?

Why did they do this to me?
I was innocent and sweet.
Their faith is blinding them,
causing them to be mean.
Where is my mommy? How could it possibly be
that it was her who was tricked into this?

Obviously Alessa is a character you relate to, which perhaps many viewers do, but you have managed to not just look inside her but give voice to what she thinks and feels. That takes a sensibility and maturity that is rare but especially so in someone as young as you. I envy your gift and talent and all the years you have to nurture them.

Nancy Sikora
You portray the anguish as if it were your own. Well done.
