Sometimes you have to let others in and love every part of you to really belief the things you never used to trust.

She Believes

She ran from herself,

And would run from anyone

Who would run to her.

Anyone could run to you,

But who would keep running?

She never used to feel beautiful,

And would break the mirror,

When she she looked at herself,

Looking back at her.

When someone told her

She was beautiful,

She didn't believe it.

Anyone could say that you're beautiful,

But who truly means it?

She never thought she was good enough,

And would sell herself short of love

When somebody told her pretty words,

That would quickly turn into lies.

Anyone could say that they love you,

But who would fight and die for you?

Now she runs to him,

And keeps running when she can't anymore.

She believes every word he says,

Because he makes her feel beautiful

Inside and out.

And she knows he loves her,

Because he fights for her everyday,

And would die for her on a moments notice.

She believes.

She trusts.

She knows.

I don't usually comment on form, but the questions at the end of the stanzas are an inspired and compelling way to pull the reader along, wondering not only what his own answers are as the poem reveals itself but what answers you came to. Very nicely done.
