Lemon Varnish

I may buy pale varnishes and
Yet always paint nails
Full red as blood.

I have a store of colours
And this one nail on a foot
Which I paint every morning
As the mood takes me.

My pale colours peter
But tomorrow the colour
On every nail will be lemon.
One more yellow than the others.

Boo Hue.
