A universal turth

Time goes by

TIME GOES BY

The beginning is the simplest,
A child full of joy and innocence,
No care in your mind,
Whether it is a straight or bent line,
But time goes by and takes you with it,
The laughter and the fun of childhood you'll soon miss it,

Overnight you become a teenager,
Thinking of science, business, medicine which to major,
Find some one to call your own,
Then get sick of them very soon,
Again time passes by and takes you with it,
Drinking, smoking worrying if you'll fit in,

Now you're a young man or woman fresh out of college,
Looking for job-opportunities so you can share your knowledge,
Family, children, a house are your next concern,
Then come tax notices and kid's school bill you'll want to burn,
Her it comes time goes by and takes you with it,
The good times, the bad that office chair where you used to sit,

Gone is your precious hair, so long,
Turning pale and forgetful your body and mind,
Remembering those memories through listening to a song,
Without glasses on you eyes you are practically blind,
While time goes by and takes you with it,
What lies ahead may it be a dark and lonely pit,

Now you're 80 and the end is close,
Operation, injection, medicine take every dose,
No more sadness or glee you can't even cry,
Just waiting and waiting for the day you die,
Still time goes by and takes you with it,
Say your goodbyes or you may regret it,
