poem

an actor

here is an actor on theater scene
with make up on,
wearing a long white shirt,
illuminated face
light falls on him from above,
he plays that role they gave
saying the lines one by one
completely detached
plays so well
that all believe he feels the role
but his heart is elsewhere,
soul is given away
although his body there on that stage;
listening audience is silent
they see him.
the piece of theater is over,
darkness descends on the scene...

here is an actor walking down the street
completely detached
with no make up on,
ordinary clothes,
illuminated face,
moonlinght falls on him,
his heart is elsewhere,
soul is given away...

I love how you observe and imagine, seeing what you see, then putting into words with simplicity those images.
