a little something made of rays

I rather do what I am
than be what I do

there is a little something
deep beneath my senses
an infinitesimal lake of thunders
that doesn't care if I'm liked or not
that doesn't care if I win the Nobel Prize

it just is

this little thing is vague
this little thing may be bigger than the world
this little thing may be bigger than the universe
or to small to exist att all

I don't care
because I know it's there

this little thing is like a smile behind a smile
like the ocean in the water
like a skin that doesn't scratch

this little thing

can grasp what's beneath the veil

the veil of reality
the veil of uncertainty
the veil of veils

it's our little solid supernova
that isn't gonna burst

so let us do what we are

instead of being what we do.

I like this very much. Profound and uniquely stated. So many define themselves by their work. I've heard that when the majority of people are asked who they are, they respond 'I'm a teacher,' or 'I'm a nurse,' etc.

This is so deep it frightens me, and that is not easy.
Amazing use of words and prose,
You have so much talent
Please read my work and comment
I feel a bond.
If it is OK I will add you as friend
Please after you have read my stuff add me, if you like it,
Applause

Your poet friend

"To thine own self be true" . . . I think we are often less what we do than what we dream and then dare, even the ones that "may be bigger than the world."
