Black Corner

Tears splash out her eyes
The stream doesn't seem to stop.
In a black corner shivering
Can't figure out what to do.

One cigarette off, the next one on.
Her head is spinning,
I can't seem to move.

Trying to call for help
But can't set the alarm.
Choking on words,
That can't be blurted out.

Sparkling eyes turn to red,
Feeling it difficult to breathe.
Hoping she'll close her eyes,
And sleeps for the last time.

Melissa Ormond
Reading this reminds me of an event that happened in the early hours of this morning. My Grandad was drunk and must have not realised he dropped a cigarette. He is now in the intensive care unit, his flat blown up and everything he owns, gone.

I enjoyed the read! Keep writing and smiling!:)
