who wants to remember life

for whom do the birds sing
when there's snow on the ground?
for whom do the waves roll
when there's no one watching?

I remember once
when the ocean laid smooth like an eye

I threw a rock towards a descending sun

I saw the circles grow
until the sun was gone

I've heard that circles on the water
grow forever

that they are like butterflies and actions

when it comes to life
I hope this isn't true

I want silence
30000 feet deep

a darkness never-ending

definite

I don't want to remember

neither life
nor death

I don't want to wake up somewhere
see another sun rise

even if the grass there is golden green
even if we're happy leaves
floating calmly on a lava river
made solely for us

all dreams fulfilled

I think one life is enough.
