Whenever I am depressed, I follow a simple exercise. I go to a secluded place, close my eyes and feel the wind. Many a times I have enjoyed this treat in a quiet countryside or my terrace at 5 in the morning. I have always found a dear friend in the WIND.

I See The WIND

I can see though I cannot see
Things that surround me
Through my fingertips and my ears
Through the smells the wind wafts to me I can see

O' what a pretty dainty maiden
In flowing silvery robes
She carries with her all that she touches
Rustles the stillness wherever she goes

She climbs the trees and wakes up the leaves
She helps the sands to paint
She tickles the birds and makes them fly
She calls the squirrels out of their holes, tiny and quaint

She skips through the seas and makes the waves
She whispers in the ears of corn
She sings to the grass and makes them waltz
She blows the clouds home

She brings me the freshness of the ripening fields
As she combs my hair and plants a kiss
She brings to me the musty ocean greetings
And the cuckoo's songs of bliss

She helps me feel the brightness of the flowers
The warmth of their radiant hues and fragrance sun-singed
And I can feel the love that surrounds me
As I see the wind.
