Maybe So

Maybe it was all for nothing

Seasons of pages burning slow

Edges of charcoal midnight glow

Reminds me of your memory

In a place where dreams decompose,

There shall I repose for time eternal

Ghostly music bringing veils, shrouds of song

Whilst I pen accursed lyrics and then

Lay my head on beds of coals

Ah, if only to dream again,

To see your face in Heavenly frames

Forgive me as I die in flames,

Reaching for your shining glory

Maybe it was all for nothing...

I much enjoyed the lilting and the ebbing, rhythmic pendulum of the verses... Very interesting style and statement.
