DAY TO NIGHT

The day dragged on

The sun went down

The moon did not rise

To take the suns place

No stars took up their

Positions in the night sky

The day was over finished

At long last a long time

A coming to it's conclusion

This is direct and I applaud the existential tone. It reminds me of the tone of Paul Bowles, The Sheltering Sky. Well done, Ken.
