City of Dead

The city of dead,
The barren sheds,
Many tales untold,
Mysteries yet to unfold,
The streets of intrigue,
Smell of uncanny mischief,
An eerie quietness,
Air and its stillness,
Looming dead shadows,
Fallen crumbling windows,
All speak of evil,
An unspoken eternal evil,
Left to march in the wind,
Of cursed alleys of sins,
The tale, the mystery, the intrigue,
All keys to the portal of fate,
Fate that masked forever,
Human nature, its innate hate.

this is richly descriptive, somber too... human nature is indeed quite difficult to follow at times i agree... seems like there isnt much to understand oftentimes and it gets to be a bit discouraging after a while... but on an encouraging note, we know not everyone is like that :) very good poem... thanks for sharing :)

human nature - it can be callous at times. not sure with having the word evil in two lines so close together here.
