TEMPESTUOUS ME

"One must still have chaos in one, to give birth to a dancing star.- Nietzsche"

TEMPESTUOUS ME

What moon without jasmine and without dreams
will be the grace and beauty of his nights?
They say I am his enemy
because I give my innermost self to the world
in verse
praising love and agony
unraveling over water
the pristine obscenities of my ecstasy
I sew and rearrange the humors
of my human-borne experience
because I love
because I still live
and hesitate to gag
It is my voice
that stretches the deepest divide between us
He is the cold figure of social prevarication
He is the nectar of polite hypocrisies
He is the world
selfish, resigned, submissive
ruled by rumor, innuendo, predjudices
and I the living spark of human truth
who lays bare naked her heart
in all her poems
