A nonnet. -14th August 2013.

Country lanes.

These country lanes at the break of dawn
Deter my thoughts of giving in;
Winsome gallows in my dreams
A tight noose from within.
These troubles each night
Teach me to fight;
They teach me
Wrong and
Right.

There is something very compelling about learning from experience, instead of reacting in fear or withdrawal. I think that is what this poem is about, that is how I read it. The format makes a nice change of pace, John.
