Drove halfway home to my heart's desire
Undecided as to why I stood in the middle
Cats and the fiddle, cows over the moon
This in place of counting sheep, lovers creep
Trying to find the good in you, head to toe
Really wasn't angry but set on edge so much
Karma gave us another chance but we blew it
Love's mountain kissed the sky and laughed
One trying to outdo the other like junior high
Neither this or that could figure things clearly
The strength we needed to stand tall failed us
For lack of trust, to the cross one's fate nailed
Forgiveness is loving you
Forgetting, needing ya more
Forgiveness is letting you in
Forgetting, void to the past
Forgiveness is loving you
