poem


forgiveness

I forgave you long time ago
for all the pain that you caused me,
for all the pain that you put me through,
for all the lies that you told me,
for all the bad jokes , for all the nonsense.

I forgave you because I wanted to ,
I forgave you because I had to ,
because I have been taught
to forgive everything and everyone,
I forgave you because I made mistakes too
for which I want to be forgiven too.

I am not the same person I used to be
I don t have those dreams I used to have.
it was very difficult for me to get over the pain
but my heart is free now ...

I forgave myself for all the mistakes I made,
that was the most difficult part,
but without forgiveness there is no freedom,
and I couldn't have moved on with my life.
I hope you will forgive me too if I ever hurt you
I hope you will always be kind...

I like this very much. Forgiveness is a very important part of being able to let go. I know it doesn't end there for the empty space remains, and the pain, for a very long time. However, eventually we all heal. Your poems are very direct and clear. I enjoy your words.
