Kind of romantic...and sad...
As the sun blazes in the hot mid-summer noon,
The shepherd sits by the river and hums a melancholic tune.
He sings of the long lost lover to return home soon,
And thinks of their wild love-making under the naked moon.
He looks at the distant horizon and wishes for a boon,
"I have been waiting and can't wait any more,
If not for me, come back for Delilah that you bore.
I have lost my sleep and peace I have none,
Come back, and soothe my soul, parched in the hot blazing sun."

The Shepherd's Wish (Challenge)
