THIS DAY HOPE LAYS BLEEDING

To day hope lays bleeding
Dashed - on the rocks
The future - looks bleak

I am by nature an amateur
Historian
A writer - amateurs - of course

With both I travel to the past
Too the future

What I have seen - few listen to me
I am the fool - the curt jester
On the hill I sit - gloomily - I look on
Dry tears well up - I can not shed any
All cried out

You are no jester Ken. You are a prophet who understands the past and where things are headed. Remember "no prophet is accepted in his hometown."
