Brief Belief

For all the forms of belief I have sought,
Still one question sought me
What do they all have in common?
I really need to understand me.

Then not far from conclusion I came;
that all be as useful as the believer
For dare not the believer believe in themselves,
so shall their belief not serve thee.

What a lovely way to describe spiritual seeking -- finding what is common within all the things that deeply resonate with you. I believe that what you really want, spiritually, has a reality to it, and knowing what you lack is the same as Knowing. Whatever that means -- I got a little tangled up in my words.
