The Life of a Malcontent

After Okayama and Kyoto, Nara, Shizuoka,
We are on the bullet train for one more day
In Tokyo, after which we take the long
Flight home. I've liked being by the ocean
And the mountains, cheap and tasty food,
And crooked, narrow streets. The first
Three shrines seemed very nice. Those
We toured afterward were boring. They're
All quite the same. I grew more skilled
With chopsticks, but I can't say that I
Favored them, and kneeling on tatami
Mats to eat was tortuous for me. In
Other words, Japan has been a stew
Composed of good and bad, not very
Different from Nebraska, where my
Home is splendid, but I'm far from any
Sea or mountain, and the people all
Around me, because I know what they're
Saying, quickly demonstrate that they're

Reactionary boobs.

the real thing: perhaps in the future, the poor will travel at home! with softwares and embedded souvenirs giving the same taste of experiences that the one who experimented it for real but without the hint of disappointment that makes it real and not ideal
