If you ask
I will lay my heart open to you

If you take the time
I will tell my whole life's story
in detail

If you have the patience
I will answer your concerns and questions
so that you have no doubts

If you will let me
I will sit and listen in wonder at your life's story

If you do not mind
I will poke and prod you with questions you've never been asked before
to look into your mind and heart

And if you let us be a little crazy
We can show each other the world through the eyes of the other
and laugh and find joy in every moment together

If you just ask
