the flight of bees

i once had an uncle
who explained to me
that bees cannot fly
according to scientific
understanding

of course, we can all
observe that they can,
in fact,
fly -
maybe his point was
the advancement of science
and how there are
so many things in the world
that we simply
do not understand yet

i don't know if he was right
about whether science
can explain the flight of bees
or not
but sometimes,
i wonder if maybe uncles can't die
