Archeological dig of the soul. Small words for a small child.

Little Girl Inside Big Girl

Little girl
Little girl
Who did that to you?

That hand in the dark
Who split you in two

Made you hide your name
Played that cruel man's
Game

Now sweet little girl
I'll save your world
I'll slay that hand!
I'll kill that man!

He took you away
But I found you today
You will be so strong!
I'll help you along

Put your hand in mine
And we'll be just fine.

one trick pony The PoetBay support member heart!
Your last two poems taken together tell a powerful story. The reader can't know the full nature of the story, but that doesn't matter. It's from the heart, and it touches a dark and secret place, hopefully to let in the healing light of day.

There are many ways to tell a story. You do so with quiet strength.
