In this world Ken, I don't want to fit in with most of it! It is hard to be on the outside, to feel alone, and unwanted and misunderstood and all the rest. However, the courage it takes to stand up for your beliefs and your ethics is what will keep you going and make you stronger to face the harder tests to come. While the rest will be struggling you will be weathering the battles with fortitude because you can stand the heat. You've been through the fire! You can truly express yourself and there are others like yourself; they are just not as vocal as the "know- it-alls." I say these things because I believe them. We who are the artist, the poets, the weirdo, eccentrics are different for a reason. We have a purpose, a purpose only someone like we can fulfill. Keep writing and thinking and thinking and writing. From what I see of the majority, it does seem like a good thing to be different and accept their lack of acceptance like a badge of honor. But, yes, people can be very cruel, but those are the ones you don't want around anyway. Let's stay "out of step!"
