NEVER TO YOUNG - NEVER TO OLD

When we were children
We asked questions
At first - we'd except
The given answers
Later on we'd ask a more
Probing - question - but why?
We should not now we are older
With children - grandchildren
Stop asking questions - with follow up questions
Such as - but why?

Lawrence Beck The PoetBay support member heart!
My younger son, who's nineteen, is fond of asking me "Why?" over and over, knowing that it will annoy me. Eventually, I just stop answering. Most of the time, "Why?" is an absurd question.

Nathalia
Well written. One should never grow complacent. It's important to always ask: but why? And to teach kids not to take things at face value.
Great work.
