metaphorical mayhem of the aged and infirmed...

Inside the Mind's Doorway

slow death creeping

inching like ivy with spidery legs

along cement crevices

injecting decay

walking sticks and canes

move.... stop.... move

caught

inside the mind's doorway

staring through one-eyed periscope

cataract crowns cover

pupiled iris

filming reduces reality

numbing narratives of native activity

along the banks of the mundane sane

lies the carnage of the forgotten

A quite bleak view of aging. I suppose it is true. You lose things you never get back. Very well crafted with metaphor and reality.

Liked this one. So many diverse images but all of them all well-connected and properly weaved. I see that you have employed many poetic devices here, which I think work very well. :)
