When man came round
Decided what you could
Do without, and you had
Sale it off before they - he
Would award you any benefits
My father was very ill, when he was a child
His mother and father had reason
To be worrying
So they sent da's sister Mary, to run as fast
As she were able to fetch the doctor
Hot foot she reached the surgery
Told him, he brother was haveing trouble breathing
Doctor, listend, then said; '' that will be two and six ''
Now Mary had no money, the Doctor, then told her
'' I'll not go and see your brother, till you hand over
Half a crown! ''
Mary rather distort, hot footed back home to tell, mom and da
Who, took the house apart, to they had found the coppers that added
Up, to half a crown, then they dispatched mary back to the Doctor!
Who then went to see her brother, David, diagnosed phenomena
I had a third minny stroke, the folowing day, phoned the surgery
Telling, the receptionist why I needed to see the doctor; '' Come in
in three and a half weeks time! ''
