My alarm shatters my dreamworld
I enter reality again for the daily grind,
School, school, school,
I don't want to do this,
Not today
I force down my oatmeal, eggs, bacon, shake
Onto my voyage through a bitterly cold February morning
The sun hasn't thought of coming up yet
6:08am
I wish I had a car, the bus is so loud,
I'd be able to hear my music without sacrificing my hearing
Not today, no music today
I'll be proactive
I'll catch up on some reading
I'll try to get ahead of the curve
But I'm exhausted
But I need to catch up on sleep
But I'm able to crash on the bus,
So sleep it is
Option 2
5:30am
My alarm shatters my dreamworld
I enter reality again for the day ahead of me,
Inhale, Exhale, Stretch
I'm not one to laze around,
Not today
I enjoy my oatmeal, eggs, bacon, shake
My walk through the park is serene
The snowbanks are painted with an orange-y glow from the streetlights
6:08am
The bus ride is nice, a car demands too much focus
I wouldn't be able to sit back and relax without sacrificing my safety
Not today, quiet music today
I'll be at peace
I'll concern myself with relaxing
I'll try to put in my best effort when needed
Because I'm sleepy
Because I'm given the opportunity to sleep
Because I'm able to sleep here with peace of mind,
So sleep it is
