Dreams, Reality, and Tears

Fairy Tale Dreams

My gallant man of the magic night
take me riding into the light,
out of the dark cover of time,
where all the prose turn into rhyme.

Take me where fairy tales come true,
where I am only me and you are you.
a place where nothing else can be,
a place for lovers like you and me.

Pull me up upon your winged stead.
Lets soar above the tangled weeds
of reality and the harshness it brings.
Lets think of love and foolish things.

Lets catch a cloud and sail away
to Tomorrow Land for just one day.
Lets love as deeply as we can
before the magic is gone again.

My longing for romantic bliss
brings me desires for you tender kiss
Hold me now before I awake.
Love me now while I am yours to take.

Waking from this endless dream,
I cry my tears into the Lonely Stream
of lovers that had no chance to be,
only passing in the Sleepfilled Sea.

This one was really sad... really good poem about the love and desire to one and eachother, but in someway it can not be them, they can't be together, and you write about that longing sadness very good in your poem... RGDS from me

The imagery, the flow, the romanticising of ideas is both compelling and beautiful. This is great work as usual Kathy.

This was such an emotional and beautiful poem! The imagery is so soft and playful, except towards the end, where it suddenly becomes sorrowful. You made the transition so well. It flows perfectly and I enjoyed every bit of it.
