The Plunge

I stand on this cliff,
Looking down at you

I let go......
I take the fall......
I fly.......

Eternity passes by in a second,
Fear trying to pull me back but gravity pulls
I plunge into the ocean, clear and warm

Down......
Down......
Down......

I swim without stopping, the current pushing
My lungs are burning, but I dive
Deeper and deeper, Fear pulling stronger
But I dare not give up, I dive deeper,

Down,
Down,
Colder......

The deeper the darker, the darker the colder
But I dive deeper, I dare not stop, I need to know
The depth of this ocean, the heat of the flame
Where the treasure leis, hidden, I dive deeper
I dare not give up, I dive

Down......
Deeper......
Down......

I need to know, that which is not
The coldest and the darkest, pain down here the hardest
As the air in my lungs burn, and I fill the ocean with salt
As I swim to hit the bottom, the deepest trench
As current pull, and my sight disappears
And I learn to see without, I learn to feel

Down......
Deeper......
Down......

I'll dive till I find you........

A very strong poem. I liked this one best: "But I dive deeper, I dare not stop, I need to know
The depth of this ocean, the heat of the flame
Where the treasure leis, hidden, I dive deeper
I dare not give up, I dive "
Beautiful!
