Cultivating addictions
It is what everyone is doing, more or less,
in one way or another,
and it is not only about drugs and drinks.
The workaholic who just keeps on struggling
for the sake of having nothing else to do,
or the addicted pianist, who keeps on playing
seven hours every day or more
just for the physical exertion of his fingers,
or the mobile addict keeping on his messaging
wherever he may be in any company,
or the computer nird who knows of nothing else
than digital technique of ones and 0s.
The question is how wholesome this addiction is,
which actually is almost universal,
while we do not mind how we in the same time
let the environment and nature of the planet go to waste
and die for human carelessness and irresponsibility.
Perhaps we all need some kind of a rehabilitation
monitored by nature both for her own and our restoration?
