The way a crow

Has given my heart

A change of mood

I like this, too, and it brings to mind a Jack London story: "To Build a Fire."

Different outcome.

I was 11 years old, in Mr Waldron's 7th-grade English class, when I first encountered this beautiful poem. It's stayed with me for the subsequent 38 years and counting!
