''Being Bipolar Is Like a Rose'': a Sequence of Quasi-Tankas

Being bipolar
is like a Rose whose bloom is
missing some petals,
its color is much deeper
than all the other roses'.

It may never be
part of a "perfect" bouquet,
but its rich pigment
was a rare, precious paint for
Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa."

And lo! it may not
enchant the most "honeybees"
in the glades of love,
but its scent is the choicest,
and makes the finest perfumes.

Being bipolar,
therefore, is like a Rose that's
missing some petals,
its savor is more desired
than all the other roses'.

Nicely described. I have OCD but often wonder if I may be bipolar as well. I seem to get cyclic ups and downs.
