BRITAIN HAS IT'S STATUES TOO! (Addianal Line)

Britain has it's statues monuments too!
Of - nasty - very nasty men indeed!
One such were of
Edward Colston
Of the city of Bristol
Colston a king pin
Of The British Slave Trade
Finally after years of petitions
Demanding the statue removal
One at least with ten thousands names
Ignored!
Finally the protesters said - ' lets remove it our selfs!'
And so they dully pulled the offensive statue down!
Drag it to the the harbor - in it went!

Now if you should go to the city of Liverpool
Take a look at old former banks
Take a good look - on pillars outside - holding up those forma banks
You will see carved is as part of the banks 'former' glory's past
Is carved African slaves in chains!
So much for Britain's glory's past!

Liverpool were no more than a fishing port
Then the slave trade took off big time!
Liverpool grew and grew - profits - large made there!
When the American Civil war started - Liverpool supported the Confederacy
No surprise there! On the side of profit - know what side offered on going profit
When that side won!

Down the road you may say - lays the city of Manchester
A city built on the profits of King coal - and Queen cotton
The cotton workers existed on slave labour wages
When the American Civil War began - work a plenty were offed!
The confederacy - made for Manchester with fistful of fat contracts for the mills!
The cotton workers said - 'NAY NAY'!
They know they had much in common with the slaves - so know what side they were on!
The cotton workers chose starvation level - surviving on Waterloo Porridge - made With weeds such as nettles, the less than subsidence for life!
Inevitably the cotton mills laid off the mill workers!

Both Bristol and Liverpool were founded upon the fortunes of - SLAVERY!

Now dont start me off on - Cecil Rhodes Statute still standing at Oxford University!

Statues are a reminder of a past we all want to forget.
