Hi everyone, 

As I've mentioned in previous posts, although I've been webmaster here for a long time, the recent changes require a bit of setting up.  So, I'm in an organizational stage of things to clarify our best way forward for the site.  And it's all moving along very well.

However, I'm currently at the point where I need to build back PoetBay's team of volunteer Members (more at your own time involvement) and volunteer Editors (more involved tasks), which have been missing for a long time now, so that PoetBay can be a more interactive, community- and writing-oriented space as it can be.  Currently, I have the assistance of one member volunteer.  We both feel it would be nice to add a few more people in order to keep our selections/input varied.

So, this leads me to put out the following question to you :  are there any among you who would be interested in ?

    >  Making monthly selections for the Home page Editors' choice 

         (since we'd be more, it'd be on alternating months between ourselves),

         OR, 

once in a while, 

    >  Finding classic or contemporary public domain poetry

         (usually twice a month), OR 

    >  Writing and starting up Themes 

         (writing challenges for the community to participate in), OR 

    >  Finding or writing up interesting articles on: form poetry, or writing styles,

         or poets, or authors 

         (or any other writing-related suggestions you may have)

If so, it would be of enormous assistance to me, and most importantly, I think it would be beneficial for PoetBay.  It isn't that I don't enjoy doing these things myself, but I'm feeling a little stretched with having to take care of all that, as well as all the other website admin things, and having time to work on the code.  Plus, I'll be completely honest with you, I lack in-depth knowledge about these things!  Anna was the one who had the interesting ideas, and knew a lot more about this stuff...  I, on the other hand, am going to need a bit of help with that.

Member Volunteers and Editors are ideally active members who usually spend regular time on the site.  If you're interested, please contact me for more details.  Also, I'd like it to be clear that there are no obligations to carry on if you later find you don't enjoy doing these things.  Trust I'll be happy you gave it a shot!
