Geo-politics

All I wanted was to see,
a smile on my little boy
as he leapt towards me
after a hard toil, instead
the peculiar norms of this world
dictated, that I splatter with a spray of blood
to bring an equilibrium
an order to this strange world
as I walk home with drudgery herd

So now, ask I must
Did the sky get any bluer?
Morning colours more lush?
Did the air finally recover ?
Have all the people found God,
and all sins vanquished?

Tell me today, tell me as it is,
Tell me was it worth it?
In the grand scheme
This world, without me?
