Cosmic Knight Errant

I’ve been chosen

To ride the stars

Never ending

Non returning

Voyaging on

Till sustenance

Depletes the

On which I

Exist after

Which I die

My role

Is chronicler

Of all I see

Reporting back

To those

Who cannot

Follow due

To fear and

As champion

To ride their

Their fruitless

Hopes that

They could not

And so I pilot

This joyful

vessel a

Knight errant

In search of

Glory hidden

In the cosmos

While my

Viewers cringe

In horrid fear

And I in great

Continuous awe

I'm reminded of Jack Londons: Star Rover - yes London wrote SIFI

I like the form you've chosen, or rather, the form that has chosen you!

I suspect that you have always been intrepid, whether in the air, on the ocean, facing your foes and fears, and in this you are evermore intrepid—a discoverer.
