I transplanted one this morning to place it where its fragrance would be best enjoyed. Big root ball and tough roots!
Lilacs
Lilacs are definitely a lady tree
their scent is simply luscious
their flowers are of a rare beauty
their boughs elegantly sensuous
Their leaves of patent leather shine
shaped spades fluttering in the wind
too bad they have no fruit to grind
to make a lady lilac wine
