Money makes the world go round
In my nest eggI had a small coin,
A brown bird called
A farthing, a fourth
Of a proud penny
In the time of LSD.
I thought the bird
Was as dead as a Dodo,
A mythical creature
Unknown in Manchester.
One day I couldn't spend it
And the penny dropped.
