OBLIC ( Otherworld part 10 )

Have you ever heard
The dawn chorus of the birds
When it's time for spring
Woken by the bluebells
As they begin to sing
To listen to dove's as they start to coo
with one another as they always do

To watch the bluebells ring
Meadows grass begin to wave
At the tulips and daffodils
Send there scent over hills

As dromadary bee's sniff the air
Waiting for their Savoir faire
To catch the pollen
Falling every hour
From the talking flowers
Feeling full of zest, Getting ready
to take it back to their nest.

The oblic climbed up onto the sand
Breathing air for the first time
Wobbling on his new found legs
As he tried to stand upright
A flying foxbat swooped down
It's belly would be full tonight

D G Moody
An evocation of Spring that I enjoyed. And I liked the rhyme sequence - some end lines and some inner rhyming; and I though the last line wrapped it up perfectly

Nice one Alan.
