An interesting exercise for the erudite film buffs. Actors, Film, and Song?

Buffalo Girl

Buffalo Girl

"Buffalo girl won't you come out tonight
And we'll dance by the light of the moon."

When life had moved us along
we heard on the radio our song;
when the banjo caught the tune it
came rushing through the room;
then we could not sit anymore,
we had to take to the floor as
our feet became entranced so
we danced and danced, until
laughing we collapsed footsore,
knowing we’d lassoed the moon.

Unfortunately, film buff I am not, so I can't say that I know the movie you're referencing. But I'm very curious now... which movie is it? Despite not having the full reference, I nonetheless felt the moment from the way you described it. Sounds energetic and fun! I particularly liked the way you concluded it with these lines:

"laughing we collapsed footsore,
knowing we’d lassoed the moon." - it's a nice image which creates a standing out and lasting effect, I thought. Very much enjoyed this, thanks.
