Ghazal first attempt.


I Did Not Fail

My mind always whispered, I did not fail
Against my father's wishes, I did not fail

Every battle filled with molten emotions flowing
Still, I stand to proclaim, I did not fail

His presence hangs in the shadows of my sleep
Forcing me to remind myself, I did not fail

My soul always feels so abstract
Yet, regardless of this, fact, I know I did not fail

Darkness transcends upon my world
My light shines through because I did not fail

Love is an elusive Unicorn
But my love for myself shows, I did not fail

I am this incredible woman
Simply because I did not fail.
