A small verse about/to Mom. I know you are at peace now.

Void of The Energy

Your Meadows and Valleys are gone
Seen now only in pictures
Void of the Energy that I loved so.

Darkness inside, infinite wisdom vanished
My Mother, my tormentor, my friend
Gone now --- just gone

Your flaws are my flaws, as my hands are your hands
As your face shows through in my aging face
Void of the Energy I once knew

Your words reverberate in my mind
My teacher, my mentor, my heart
Gone now --- just gone

He got rid of all your things, quick, fast and in a hurry
Leaving the home we once knew
Void of the Energy of you.

Gone now --- just gone.

An emotive poem, well written. Repetition can sometimes be a trip-up, but not so here. I suspect there is anger just beneath the surface.
I have had to get rid of things twice: Getting rid of my dad's was easy, strangely - and there didn't seem to be that much of it. Then of course my mother's 'things' included a lot of his that were left remaining and was doubly difficult.
My wife and I have started clearing out 'stuff' so that our children have a much easier task of it!
