you and bashō

bashō is smiling

you can see it in his eyes

if you close your eyes

~

your presence enchants

the almost imperceptible tilt

of your head   the bashō smile

which begins in your eyes

black hair in pigtails   bare arms

slender   graceful hands

modestly folded before you

fleet of sailboats adorning

your white blouse   black skirt

bouqueted with white flowers

you are grace and faith    one

comes from within   the other

from without   you are enchanting

i am enchanted   bashō is smiling

you seem engulfed with the grandiose of Nature
I believe like Houellebecq the writer that God made Nature and People, cities

This poem is like a butterfly that whispers me a secret.
Just my immediate feeling and impression. Wonderful.
